Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Sensex climbs over 300 pts, Nifty near 23,200; HCL Tech falls 5%, Adani Ent gains 2%

In early trade, Zomato, IndusInd Bank, NTPC, Adani Ports, SBI, and Tata Motors from the Sensex pack opened with gains, rising between 2-3%. On the other hand, HCL Tech, HUL, Tech Mahindra, ITC, and Infosys opened in the red.

  • HCL Tech stock slips over 8% after Q3 results.

HCL Technologies shares dropped 8.43% on Tuesday, January 14, hitting an intraday low of Rs 1,821.65 after the IT services firm reported a 6% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 4,591 crore for the December 2024 quarter.

  • JSW Energy shares jump over 4% after receiving letter of intent to acquire Mahanadi thermal plant

JSW Energy shares jumped 4.39% to Rs 540.50 in early Tuesday trade after the company was selected as the successful bidder to acquire KSK Mahanadi Power Company, which owns 3,600 MW of thermal power plants, through insolvency proceedings.

  • Quadrant Future Tek shares list at 29% premium over IPO price

Quadrant Future Tek, which saw strong demand for its IPO, debuted in the market on Tuesday at a 29% premium to the issue price. The stock opened at Rs 370 on the NSE and Rs 374 on the BSE.

  • Afcons Infrastructure shares rise 3% after securing Rs 4,787 crore Pune Ring Road project

Shares of Afcons Infrastructure, part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, rose 3.5% to a high of Rs 496.70 on the BSE in early Tuesday trade, January 14, after the company was declared the lowest bidder (L1) for a Rs 4,787.20 crore tender issued by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation
